As darkness falls;
to the earth once more.
Another day;
has come and gone.

The moon and the stars
paint the black of the sky;
while the stillness of the night;
rolls on.

The sun, it has vanished
beneath the far horizon;
and the landscape hides;
in the shadows.

Clouds they do dance
within the darkening skies;
over mountain tops;
and meadows.

The sea she still roars
and the winds they do blow;
under the darkness;
waiting for dawn
~~~
The creatures of the night
they do creep and crawl;
And the nightingale;
sings her songs.
