Joy's Terse Verse
What Of The Day
It all seems to roll
together and sway,
in a strange sort of
weird sort of
wonderful way.
A moment of nothing
from a life-time of go,
squeezes and crushes
with a shadow
of woe.
The time clumps together
in a puzzle of now,
mixed with jaded and faded
and a missing
somehow.
When the birds are all singing
and the sunshine is near,
the day seems forever-
a moment's
a year.
Sometimes in the lightness
when the spirit is free,
small moments of musing
splash sweet
poetry.
