I won't be home with you on christmas,
for my country needs me.
Please do know that i will go,
it's my sworn duty.
Christmas day will find me,
for i'll be on the scene.
I won't be home with you on christmas,
but i can always dream!
This time of year
we have many gifts
to be thankful for.
And one of those gifts
tied up with a badge of courage:
THE AMERICAN SOLDIER!
While in the safety
of our home,
we're only free
because our soldiers
put aside their own!
Say a prayer
for those angels out there.
Give thanks to them
for their selfless acts
for OUR FREEDOM.
Lo now what hearts have men,
they mount on high
when kissed by heaven.
There are many unknown angels,
at the world's other end.
They fight for us,
and our freedom they defend!
