Pres. Kennedy shot , the War kept calling
Everyday I hoped the war would end
I was barely a man, the war was calling
Several of my friends, war resisted
Didn't want to go, the War kept calling
The decision I put it off for a while
Young and wild, the war kept calling
Travel, Parties, Girls short time fun
Future unknown, the war was calling
Rather than be drafted I enlisted
6 month plan over, the war kept calling
M.C.R.D. Boot camp in the AM
I had arrived I was going to be Marine
