Conversation

She spoke to me with silence
Across that great divide
Formed by that crowded room
Just a mere few feet wide

She spoke to me with love
Signalled by her smile
That said not yet my love
But wait a little while

She spoke to me with beauty
Lightening my gloom
Her presence filling space
A rose in first bloom

She spoke to me a little later
With a stolen little kiss
That said just wait my love
And filled me with bliss

She spoke to me with passion
With her little moan
When we loved the night away
Finally finally alone

She spoke to me with silence
Filled me so with pride
My so beloved life soul mate
Lying there by my side
