I am Dreaming
I am dreaming
of some place,
where the sky
sparkles and
Miles Davis
sweeps the night
off into forever,
I am dreaming
of some place,
where you and
I can sit beneath
a tree and stare out
at heaven rising
around us,
I am dreaming
of some place,
where I can kiss
your heart and
forever quilted
from pain, from
sorrow,
I am dreaming
of some place,
where books speak
softly in the night
and fires spark as
love arrives dancing
in life's air.
