Heart Of The Matter
I May be Quiet
I cannot eat,
I'm losing weight.
I'm losing sleep,
I can't think straight.
I cannot work,
I cannot dance,
I'm grounded now,
By circumstance.
I'm feeling weak,
I'm feeling tired,
I'm feeling lost,
And uninspired.
I'm on a spiral,
Falling fast,
It's just a setback,
It won't last.
One day I'll eat,
And feel no pain,
I'll get my life,
On track again.
I'll step again,
Into the fray,
Of early starts,
And busy day.
And in the meantime,
I'll hold on,
I may be quiet,
But I'm not gone.
