My Streets

Whose there for You?

No Longer their Fool!

Just an Existence in my Mind?

A feather in the Storm

Born just to give

Born just to give

To Love, to smile, and care for you
to long to be your friend
to share some hugs, speak sweet
words time and time again.
To be the one to wipe your tears
to cheer you and make you smile
always here, never refusing
to please you all the while.
Then one day things turn around
you return love and caring to me
you'll find you can't get near me though
it's impossible you see.
While I can give you everything
I can take nothing at all for me
born to give and care and love
but never have nothing for me.
An invisible barrier I have in place
you move near me, I retract
it has always been like this
the ability to receive I lack
Since I was a tiny child
I was shown you see
I was expected to give all
but expect nothing back for me.
This part of me is missing
no one allowed it to be
my time on earth will be to give
To receive is not an option for me.
