 Go play now little one
Go play now little one

It felt to her like millions of years
She had to be silent and still
Unsure if this could ever change
Or if anyone knew she was there
Just existing, hurting and so very sad
Never knowing if anyone cared.

More time passed the girl she cried
With memories of hurt and of pain
What did she know of happiness?
Just times of distant fears
Her mind was shut to some things
Not emerging even in tears.

How sad she was this little girl
Locked in her tiny prison
Never letting herself wonder
Why life had passed her bye
She had been abandoned
No point in wondering why.

Then came the day the Lady came
She said she was her special one
She held her close and kissed her
She spoke so gentle and calm
She hid her well to keep her safe
And keep her from further harm.

She held her hand so very tight
She said she would protect her now
She would never be harmed again
Nor be given reason to cry
She would be with her always
As they walked into sunlit skies.

Go now my precious little one
Run and skip and play
Feel the sunshine on your face
For you are now safe with me
My past it was your prison
I am whole now you are free!
