The Journey to Bethlehem

A decree sent people to their place of birth.
It was to register and determine their worth.
So Mary and Joseph went to Bethlehem.
God would protect and take care of them.

Earlier, an angel had appeared to Mary.
He announced the child she would carry.
He was God's Son, who would save the world.
She believed and rejoiced at what she had heard.

When they arrived, there was no place to stay.
They were led to a stable with a manger of hay.
It was there, Jesus, our Savior was born.
That was the first Christmas morn.

Where is your journey in life taking you today?
Do you personally know Him as the only way?
He is more than a baby in a manger.
Don't let Him be to you a stranger!
