Why?
Why, does it still haunt me?
Why, did you hurt me so bad?
Why, when just a baby
Why, did you watch me become so sad
Why, couldn't you love and protect
Why, did you inflict such pain?
Why, was there no guilt or regret?
Why, did you feel no shame?
Why, years later, do I still cry?
Why, when it wasn't my fault?
Why, was you so cold and harsh?
Why, did you never get caught?
Why, am I even asking these things?
Why, now you've been gone so long?
Why, can I never understand?
Why, didn't you see you were so wrong?
