BRAVEHEART - SIX

My Dearest Braveheart,

'Tis true, many nights hath passed since thy leaving,
News of thee, scarce,
As the winter suns' warmth,
The days dark and fraught with angst,

Oft, hast thy maiden, wept for thee, my Lord.
Mine eyes gaze upon thy mountains, seeking only feint sight of thee,
Mine ears listen, for thy whispers on the wind,
Yet, thy maiden's heart still beats for thee, my brave knight,

They sayeth thy crusades goeth well, my love,
This news doth please thy maiden so,
And mine heart doth rejoice for thee,
Yet, holds much fear for thee also.

'Tis Solstice, my love,
There is merriment in thy camp,
Soon, winter's lament shall pass,
Then, thou shall'st come, my deep, distant knight,

Thy maiden awaits safe return of her ribbons,
My dear Braveheart,

... Her silken ribbons ...
