So still the night
With bright moon shining
Perfect the orb in a star filled sky
Tranquility, Beauty both combining
So still the night
Save for my true loves sigh

Nighttime stretches calm and still
No sound intrudes the tranquil scene
Save for the Nightjars churring trill
So still the night
So still the night and so serene
