The wolf called Fear attacks
when we least expect it
with piercing eyes that penetrate
the trembling soul.
It's sensitive nose sniffs out
the warrior trapped with
the quaking mind.
Sharp teeth rip the flesh of certitude
from the heavily daunted heart.
The wolf's terrible, sharp claws
gash the body,
making us bloody and weak
and unable to function anymore.
