 ramblings and things

Perfumed

She served me tea in a china cup
Fragrant jasmine new to my taste
Every drop carefully absorbed
Not a single atom gone to waste

She served me food on china too
Every bite being one to savour
Assaulted my senses with each
And every so delicate flavour

She danced a dance around my seat
One of such tranquillity and joy
The dance she said of courtship
Between promised girl and boy

She washed me gently in her bath
Every movement made to please
As that soft scented water soak
Put me completely at my ease

She took me to her bed that night
Took me to her perfumed lair
Performed a dance of pleasure
With an exquisite art and care

She served me tea in a china cup
By the light of a breaking dawn
Camomile to soothe my mind
Ere I left that fine spring morn

She disappeared from my life
So completely that it seemed
Her very existence is in doubt
I have maybe merely dreamed

She walks the corridors of my mind
Has made of there a special place
I follow her but we never meet
Just find a subtle perfumed trace
