Lifting BurdensSuch a long year, My dear friend; In having a fear, It would not end. But now we see, The end of a line; How it could be, Turning out fine. During 52 weeks, How we may live; While a man seeks, On ways to forgive. For holding a grudge, One doing you wrong, Causes you to judge, Condemning so long. Start the New Year right, Giving God your plea; Pray with all your might, Lift the burden to be free. Richard Newton Sherrer Copyright ©2006 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
