I try, yes try, as best as I can
To do whatever it takes
But, it's never enough, not good enough
Not for anybody's sake
It's been this way for always
Had to sort things for all
How do you cope? I never knew
must have been my fault they fall
Over and over, again and again
I'd fail, but what had I known?
I should know just what to do
Yet, I wasn't even grown!
Years go bye, but still the same
I try, I try, so badly
Keep on going, give your all
Just had enough, but sadly
I go into my future
unequipped and alone
Who will come and wipe my tears?
Now childhood years have flown
I'm an adult now though see
Nothing wrong with me
How can you not know the rules
I'm grown, so has to be
Someone who knows how to cope
To deal with every thing
What though if they aren't equipped?
Who comes, when you, just scream?
Finally it hits you, coping skills
Are none, so then what do you do now
What now your on your own?
Do you just pretend to cope?
Pretence it is your game
Nobody will realise
The volume of your pain
Just go on, just improvise
You know what is assigned
Oh, but how so deep inside
Your soul screams out for time
Just to sort out how to cope
With issues never faced
People watch, you must know how
Or do you act in haste?
It's but time to say now
I haven't got a clue
Nobody tried teaching me
I know as much as you
Intellect I have though
My teacher could be me
Yes, I could learn to live now
To learn to be free
Nobody will cross me now
Nobody can abuse
It took me time, I'll get there though
For me, I'll find the truth
The truth of who exactly
I have turned out to be
I never have to seek now
I know, I bow
