Strapped, Shackled, and Chained

Strapped, shackled, and chained
My life as it was paved
Defiled by fear
Strength unable to steer clear
The fight was not fair
Into the black I was forced to stare
This was love; this was my life
Struck by greed I'd pay their price
I broke free from that loveless place
However I'm still traveling with a lone face
Although my life may not be the same
It's all I know in a twisted kind of fame
Walking as a statue
I haven't got a clue
As to what will come my way
Or what may happen at the end of the day
No clue on love, relationships, or success
I'm just strapped to life for the ultimate test
Survival of the fittest is how I have to play
Which is sad to do because I do it in a lonely way
I have friends and people I adore
But I still can't find the love deep within my core
So yet again I find myself slain
Strapped, shackled, and chained
