 Gentle Breeze

EveningComfort

SultryRose's Signatures

Oh gentle breeze where do you roam
have you no place to call your own
rustling leaves through stately trees
to play awhile an then your gone

Oh gentle breeze through emerald fields
a grassy knoll to sway and thrill
drift around in childish play
and gently kiss the daffodil

Oh gentle breeze through jasmine sweet
adorn thyself in its perfume
languish then just a moment
before your flight you do resume

Oh gentle breeze your lonesome call
like an echo lost and alone
through the eves you find your way
in your passing a haunting moan

Oh gentle breeze please come ye back
a soothing kiss to brush my cheek
bearing warmth this day and time
for your caress is what I seek

Oh gentle breeze where do you roam
as you leave me so all alone
to drift away who knows where
your place of rest still goes unknown
