Petals In The Grass

Genocide

My blemishes still show
That shroud my soul
I walk with unanswered questions
The genocide in my mind
Extermination of joyous feelings
I can't break free
From this polished lament
Tears cannot convey
The sadness which is held
In lonely corners of my mind
Words fall short
Into an empty spectrum
Of decomposing solitude
An absent smile
An absent touch
Is an existing reality
