Because I Know
Because I Know
As I look unto another beautiful day
I am so thankful to be alive
I find God in every turn of life
in every step along the way
because I know
He is my key
my one true Savior
the rock of my beliefs
through the heartaches
the stumbling blocks
He made me strong in His image
I will take any punches
knowing in the end
I will rise to the top
You can have everything
yet leave nothing
you can come from poverty
and leave making
your life something
no silver spoon
but the hardship I modeled
into the most beautiful art
my legacy of clay
to those that know me
they recognize God's stamp
it's in every true believer
He is my one and only faith
because I know
He is my key
my one true Savior

so glad I crossed over
He has made my life meaningful
so full in His grace
once was a ugly soul
has now been made so beautiful....
