As If I Was There
As If I Was There
Carry on as if I was there
grief is just for a brief time
life is long to always carry a sad face
in the quiet reflections
in the crowd of several hundred
I am with you always
though you may feel alone
Smile as if I was there
a picture a thousand words
wrapped into tragedy
a ray of light shines
don't ever leave
your spirit behind
Talk to me as if I was there
I can hear your heart
it still beats to a path
of so much to look forward to
so much life un lived
and I will see you soon
this I promise you....
So carry on as if I was there
celebrate though your heart may be breaking
time has a way of changing
all hurt....all plans
the leaves change
sunny side up
another year over
a new one on the horizon
so smile....so walk on
as if I was there.....
