Closed by me!
Where were you?
When I was bereft
was I abandoned?
had you left?
Oh no my child, is
your answer to me
we have always been here
where you wanted us to be.
But you were the one
who closed off your heart
so we could not enter
so kept us apart.
Why Can't I understand
how could I have been
closed to your voices
and the peace that you bring.
I closed off my mind
this was my fault
I closed down channels
as you vainly sought.
To come and to carry me
from hurt and from pain
I just had not realised
it was me that refrained.
The passage was closed
so you could not come
although I so wanted you
I stopped you become.
My source of awareness
a boost to my life
my answer to problems
an end to my strife.
I've learned by this lesson
I'll never block you from view
now each time I call you
I will be waiting for you
