Jealousy

Like a thief in the dark of night it comes,
Jealousy.
It steals away little by little your dignity,
honor and your love.

It twists and turns in your soul until you become
its slave, saying and doing things that hurt the very one you love.

It has no qualms about when, where or who it hurts.
It possesses your mind and plants thoughts of doubt about
the very person you care the most about.

It takes on a life of its own and controls your thoughts and
your voice. You realize that you are hurting thre one you love,
but you can't stop. You want to, but you can't.

Jealousy takes the form of a little voice that speaks,
directs and perverts your every thought, until you question
your sanity.

Then once it has done its devilish deed, remorse and depression
takes its place…until the next time it shows its ugly face!
