Circus of lies.
Slaves of the circus maximus
Throw them to the lions
A thumb to the throat
From screaming minions.
Ceasar you are the empire
A gesture can bring clemency
How far from death are you?
When the mob are set free.
Rampaging through your palace
Ransacking your worldly goods
A world outside is at your door
Rejecting your financed gods.
A brutality named righteous
Influence infects virtue
For a movement has hierarchy
As power taints the true.
And when all faith is destroyed
From ruin a new leader rises
Noble victor turns conceited
Till a circus maximus emerges........
Slaves of the circus maximus
Throw them to the lions
A thumb to the throat
From screaming minions.
Ceasar you are the empire
A gesture can bring clemency
How far from death are you?
When the mob are set free.
Rampaging through your palace
Ransacking your worldly goods
A world outside is at your door
Rejecting your financed gods.
A brutality named righteous
Influence infects virtue
For a movement has hierarchy
As power taints the true.
And when all faith is destroyed
From ruin a new leader rises
Noble victor turns conceited
Till a circus maximus emerges........
