 Romantic Notions By Ivy Rose

Moon Of Years

How could I not be moved
by the Moon that shines
from your deep amber-eyes.
Far-set and beyond,
no question of how or why.

Only the mention
of how the Moon found
its place under your sky
and made its joyful sound.

My days are all jumbled
more often than not.
I am forever unsettled
and I am tempest-tossed.

I have had to learn
how to consider your tune
and dance within the shadow
of your benevolent Moon.

How reflective the light
that pierces and sears.
I only know to be your captive
exceeds the Moon of our years.

I cannot help but be moved
by the Moon which shines
from the deep of your amber-eyes.
Far-set and beyond,
not ever a question of why.
