Silenced Lips, Empty Promises

Silenced Lips, Empty Promises

I sewed it up
stitched all these dead end streets
into the seams of my heartstrings
and so once again I am left
waiting for you....
To return only to leave
to give me hope
only to dash them
because it's what you do best

He don't deserve this
what did he ever do?
All he knows....is his own innocense
I can take you yelling and screaming
but never at him
he is part of your blood
or did you forget that?

We don't need no postcards
simple words won't fix it
so tired of this garbage
you don't appreciate all the chances given
so I broke it open
the cracks are showing
the fork divides us
and from now on
it just can't bother me

Please don't come back
I beg you to keep a distance
if you care....maybe you will listen
the scab isn't growing back
this time it's disappeared
just like you promises....
