The Spirit of the Lord
His Spirit has taken control,
And now possesses my soul;
For telling all the good news,
That Jesus has paid our dues.
We all can have a fresh start,
With healing a broken heart;
And having freedom within,
As a captive prisoner of sin.
This is the year for our Lord,
Show kindness with a reward;
Punish our enemies in a wrath,
Having ventured onto our path.
The Lord sent me to comfort,
With an attempt for to avert;
Backsliding causing to stray,
Through each and every day.
So wipe away the ugly doubt,
Start celebrating and shout;
Chase away doom and gloom,
As the bride awaits her groom.
