Psalms 20:1
"The Lord hear thee in the day of trouble: the name of the God of
Jacob defend thee"
Have you ever been in a situation where it seemed that nobody,
NOBODY could help you? As you scrambled to find a solution,
the problem just magnified? Did it seem that nobody understood
what you were going through, an unfairness had attacked your life,
and nobody was willing to come to your defense?
King David was considered a man "after God's own heart",
which meant that he had firmly established a relationship with
God and knew that when he called on the Lord; God would hear
and answer him. We often endure hardships in our relationships
with family, friends, co-workers, classmates and neighbors;
some battles are even with ourselves. So often the only "way out"
is God's way. Even when we have done nothing wrong, but trouble
finds us anyway, God is still our defense. "The name of the Lord
is a strong tower, the righteous RUN into it and are safe."
In your day of trouble, remember to call on the Lord,
He will hear us and defend us.
