The man upstairs looks down on me,
Answers my prayers.
Lets my blind eyes see,
When Im looking up,
He's looking down,
Whatever my cross may be,
The man upstairs a looks down on me.
Let me tell you my brother.
You acrross the sea,
There is no cloud he can't see over.
Wherever you may be,
He sent His son to die on Calvary,
The man upstairs look down on me.
I have looked for him for so long,
Searched every star in the sky,
I have always longed,
To look Him in the eye.
One day He opened my blind eyes.
and let me see,
The man upstairs looks down on me.
Im not worried my brother.
I know my soul is free,
I gave my worries to Jesus,
He carried them on the tree,
I found beneath Calvary,
That the man upstairs looks down on me.
He tells me he was once worried,
And He didn't like what He used to see,
But now I feel Him smile,
and say,
It was worth the cross my Son carried,
As I look down and see,
A soul was set free.
The man upstairs looks down on me.
