For flowers that never cameThe flowers never came, Although she waited for the spring, And love never offered her a ring, Sometime heartache towers, Over love's dreams, She danced in the rain, for hours, Still feeling love's flame. Although she waited for the spring, The flowers never came. Love was like a ghost, in her empty room, Sometime you find a rose, That never had the chance to bloom. And sometime you find, a bird that will never sing, She waited for the flowers, But they never came. She knew not to love him, She knew it was in vain. She knew of love's powers, And heartache's pain. She always heard that spring brings flowers, But her's never came. She danced alone for hours, in the cool falling rain. She knew that love's powers, would always feed the flame. She waited for hours, For flowers that never came. Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
