Unlock my door

I shall not be named then crowned by fools,
When they decide to change the rules.
One rule for all and all for one…
I refuse to die by sword or gun.
I'll stand firm and hold my ground,
I am but too my children bound.
And if I should fall before they grow,
A loving father they will never know.
So I say to God and country too,
A man of war, “no can do”!
I refuse to fight for countries gain,
For wealth or oil, it's so insane.
So lock me up and throw the key,
A fighting man I'll never be.
But if things should change and words mean more…
You can always come and unlock my door.
