 Respect
She had diamonds in her eyes
I saw them flash
As she argued with her partner
A personality clash
And her gaze of ice
Just cut him down
And he grovelled.
Just like a clown
Until she smiled
And said okay
And the diamonds in her eyes
Were sheathed artfully away
Not a lady
With which to play
Then cut and run
Or slip quietly away
She had diamonds in her eyes
And a body any man would lust
But the diamonds in her eyes
Command respect and a wary trust
