The Angel

I was tired, my feet were sore
Knocking hard on every door.
I found people shunned my face
Did not even have the grace
To hear what I was selling
And I almost gave up telling.

Then I knocked upon a door
My heart feeling low and sore
There she was, a smile so wide
And she welcomed me inside.
Let me see what I can buy
I need lots, I nearly cried.

Not only did she buy my wares
But I knew she really cared
Like Jesus when he begged for food
And the woman was so good.
Years have gone we met again
Small world I said, now she`s my friend.

I won`t forget that special day
When she did not turn me away
This angel gave me back my faith
In this mostly Human race.
Some people can be almost evil
But I know for every devil

There are ten angels just like her
Thank you dear for being there.
Have a happy day each day
May just good things come your way
You deserve it, yes you do.
Thank you dear for being You.
