Your Childhood will soon be memories of the past

I still remember when you first came home
I can't believe that you are now three
Slow down lil' man you're growing up on me
Seems like yesterday you learn to speak
Now words come out that are so unique
Those puppy dog eyes sure stole my heart
Not only are you handsome but oh so smart
I sure wish the years would slow down
Cause Nana wants to keep you coming around
But before I know it you'll be in school
Hopefully you'll remember Nana's Good book rule
Always know you can be just as strong
By always obeying and doing no wrong
For this will make Nana happy and Jesus too
Cause He will forever be watching over you
My heart rejoices when you say I do...I do...
When I mention going to church and you want to too
Now you are running around and such a joy
But ready for adventure like all little boys
You have grown to love airplanes now
Along beside Papa flying with radio sound
Your eyes light up and you shout out loud
I do...I do... when your Papa gets one out
Who knows maybe you'll be a pilot yourself
But over the years many things can change
No doubt whatever you decide to be
You will still make all your family so happy
May God watch over you precious one
And I thank the Lord for my lil' grandson
