Poems of Lighthouse Bob
You'll Know Me #295
You'll Know Me You'll know me not by what I've owned Nor riches that I've fared You'll know me not through those I've known Nor secrets that I've shared It won't be for demeanor's sake Nor eloquence of speech That you'll know me when morning's wake Breaks Heaven's shore to breach. You'll know me not by ol' blue jeans Nor by my Sunday's best You'll know me not by angel's wings Nor halo o'er my crest It won't be my celebrity, Nor insolence, nor roots But more you'll find these things to be -You'll know me by my fruit. God bless, Lighthouse Bob |
