The city of Paducah, Kentucky recently passed legeslation to ban smoking in resteraunts and bars. In the same breath they allowed drinking and the sale of alchol on Sunday. Please sin is sin.
The founding fathers of the little town I live in
decided one day that smoking was a sin.
Somehow one of them got it in their head
to allow people to drink on Sunday instead.
I wonder if they will ever truly comprehend
any type of vice leads to no good end?
For them to say smoking is something bad
and allow drinkers to drink makes people mad.
Sin is sin no matter how we try to justify.
We try to say this other's okay but it's another lie.
Alcohol consumption has caused its share of death
so those founding fathers can save their breath.
In my eyes one is just as bad as the other.
Drinking alters perception and tobacco can smother.
I wonder how those officials can dare to say
that smoking is bad, but drinking's okay?
