Friday night
feeling tight
on the bench
seat he sits.
Wondering why
head held high
he's feeling
mutta sick.

Saki night
should highlight
the reason
for this mess.
The bottle hides
by his side
he sneaks one
in distress.

He lay down
then he found
it's better
to sit up.
By himself
without help
he's stuffed the
whole night up.

Then a yawn
as if born
into the
night filled day.
Hands on lap
feeling slack
then a sip
of saki.

In the gloom
nods a tune
heavy head
gets a scratch.
Nodding slow
dropping low
against the
bench seats back.

As I go
he wakes so
I look in
to his eyes.
From behind
soon he finds
someone to
hear his hi!

Taxi please
yes siree
he wanted
to go home.
So I say
walk this way
I'll take you
to the phone.

Stumbling on
crazy form
he follows
to the rank.
Watch your step
Hi! he says
he seems so
full of thanks.

Taxi comes
where's he from
I explain
the whole idea.
Many thanks
from the rank
at least his
place was near.
