The Sounds of Serenity
So silent stands serenity
Sweet succulent sap of thought
So soft those somber sleepy dreams
Spin silhouettes from loves sought
Shadows sway surrendering sighs
Still searching for symphonies
Simple sounds our souls to unite
Sweet silent serenities
Sipping spray of some seascape's mist
Salt so to season the mind
Sampling simple sights so sublime
Til serenity I find
Still I sit so to see such sights
Sunrise, sunset, and seascape
Silent serenity spinners
Swift wings so souls can escape
Such saddened spoils of lovers lost
Spiritless squandering hearts
Shamelessly storing their trophies
Smothering flames, dousing sparks
So silent stands serenity
Solitude's sole salvation
Self-indulging sentiments spur
Sedative salutation
Subdued hearts surrendering strife
Sanctioning solace we've snared
Send serenity soaring high
Solicitude sometimes spared
Sweet serenity surround me
Sing softly simplicity's song
Serenade my broken heart
Til my shortcomings are long!
