From the Heart Through the Pen
Email Poem | Today's Poetry

 She's Gone
Can you believe how I feel
Just so out of place
Do you see the confusion
The sadness written on my face

She took her love
And went away
I'm dying on the inside
And what's on the out
Does it even count

Does she even think of me
Because she occupies
My dreams each and every night
My mind and my heart
At wits end
A constant battle they fight

It's not right
But yet it doesn't feel wrong
Dear Lord please help me
To erase this song
That's implanted into my memory
Like she
My sanity already gone
Please take away all
These sad love songs

Without her in my life
I'm free from all the strife
But my heart can no longer feel
So many emotions
Of all that happened
No one would believe
They were even real

So baby what's the deal
You left my side
Left me to take this lonely ride
And no one knows just how I feel
The covenant that we thought
We would seal
Now broken down
Just like my spirit
