Discarded homes of lives gone by
As if to say I was here
Left like treasures upon the sand
For those who wander near
Spiraled dreams of a yesterday
Tossed aimless by the sea
Shapes of life we will never know
But that it's meant to be
Nature has mysterious ways
Yet fills the world with grace
Of such beauty none can compare
An empty shell of space
Profound the thought in time alone
That life is much the same
And vessels of your very soul
Upon the earth remain
The simple life of a seashell
Reminds us who we are
The beauty of God's creation
Dust from a distant star!
