Away out in the outback
A special breed there exists~
Where both men and women and children
Survive when hardship persists~
Diversities out there are so many
But out there all those that really know
Always seem to make it through
In the very country they love so~
Life out there is anything but easy
But being not afraid of work at all~
And having years of handed down experience
They are all prepared to face the call~
They are always there for one and another
For as well all neighbor's though far apart~
Only takes a simple phone call
And the outback reputation starts~
This is how people are out there
All one big outback family~
Even though its a vastness beyond compare
Close friends despite diversity~
With the droughts and all that happens
More things can go wrong no time at all~
From the earliest days beginning
Till late sunsets till nigh time falls~
The communication is fantastic
Between properties way out there~
Endless days of walking apart
But still closeness and actual care~
Common sense still rules the day
And used all the time right through~
Like in all things there's things one should know
And things that one always should do~
They have their flying doctors
That are always there for everyone~
An outback family always on standby
From setting sun to setting sun~
All happening while they still do
All of the time in every way~
Working cattle , property and business
Every single working day~
But all that outback diversity
As unwelcome as it might be~
Does not stop the outback folk
From surviving as they done for centuries~
