There are many things in life
That mean so very much to me~
Special sentimental things
That my heart will not set free~
But there's one thing Ive got at home
And it's way more special than the lot~
It's the hat my poppy used to wear
It's the most special thing Ive got~
When I look at it then I can see
My poppy standing there~
Oh how I know he loved me so
And the way he'd stroke my hair~
but God needed him to lend a hand
So my poppy went away~
But I have not got the slightest doubt
I'll see my poppy again one day~
