Do you think you can heal yourself?
Well, with just will, you can't
Does your spirit lose it's wealth
As it raves and rants

Effects your mind, body and soul
It's a disease
Not a character flaw that will roll
Away, if you please

It will stay to give you hell
Leave you with nothing to give
You cannot open up to tell
The hopelessness you live

There is no hope
Maybe all you do is sleep
You must say no
And not keep

It's sadness
You're thinking of suicide
It's anger
Traps itself inside

It's blackness
Has you crying
Attacks you
'Till there's only dying

On your mind
That you're not understood
It is not kind
Moreover, far from good

Cure it, see a doctor
If he can't help you
See another
Take those prescriptions to do

What is right for your brain
Slow down the adrenalin rush
Don't let it's rain
Go through your soul to gush

Displace the sun
Turn out the light
Sadness, where there was fun
That isn't right

Your nerves are shot
On the edge as a kid
One nerves all you've got
From what life did

Cure it, stir it
Let it roll in your soul
Win it, beat it
You can defeat it

As a child were you neglected
Were you sexually abused
Did you not feel protected
Was you little body used

For those adult treasures
Kids don't understand
Half hell and half pleasure
For a ten year old and an ignorant man

Well, that year changed me
It funked me up forever
It took away my childhood free
It's a time that never

Should have happened
As it was not good
Taking my dad's cr*p and
Thinking that I should

End my life now sometimes
I imagine slitting my throat
Instead I take Effexor XR and write rhymes
Because living has my vote

Not death---from that last nerves pain
I have to keep it happy
Because I'm not insane
Life just treated me cr*ppy

As a ten year old girl
Because incest kills your kid
Or there's maiming in their world
Daddy, because of what you did

She thanks you anyway
It's made her strong
Let's it go away
To live here in her heartune song

Lots of people have to take pills
You do what you have to do to survive
Those medicines cure depression's ills
Lots of people they keep alive

So you live too
You laugh everyday
You cure the depression in you
You get help and and find a way...

...Back into God's light.
