Heart Of The Matter
What's It Like?
What's it like in your dimension?
Do you get to draw the pension?
Is it enough to get you by?
Do you have castles in the sky?
Do the stars come out at night?
Do they shine as ever bright?
Do you view the moon with wonder?
Does it look the same down under?
Is the sun as warm as here?
Does it spin from year to year?
Do the seasons change and alter?
Or remain the same, and never falter?
Do the trees stand tall and strong?
Does the rain fall on them all?
Do flowers bloom with scent on high?
Only to fade and never die
Do the tides still ebb and flow?
Do the fish have far to go?
Do they swim without the fear?
Of hook and bait and anglers near
Do you live in houses quaint?
That never need; a coat of paint
Is decorating done by thought?
No paper, paint or brushes bought
Is there money in your purse?
Do you ever need a nurse?
Do you eat the food you taste?
Are there garbage cans for waste?
Is your music just for you?
Do others get to hear it too?
Do you dance and do you sing?
Will I feel, the love you bring?
So many questions asked of you,
Your answers, somewhere in the blue,
I know I lack in comprehension,
But what's it like,
In your dimension?
