Kettle Of Mystery
In the kettle
Of mystery-
The ferns turn,
Bubbling bold
And very mean-
With a brilliant
Stroke of green.
The space-
Too hot and boiling,
The air-
Too fierce and dense,
The ferns flee
Into coolness
And deeply gasp
The fresh.
Now- all is new
And open-
Without a touch
of edge.
The ferns reach out
And hug the breeze,
About to burst
With dance!
Joy Weare.
3rd February, 2007.
