Winter's GiftDays may be shortened Nights become bitterly cold, Snow sparkling upon the trees It's quite the sight to behold. People enjoy this time of year Where others, don't like it at all, They complain about the cold And the certain amount of snowfall. Kids drive their parents crazy If they don't go out to play, Children enjoy sliding down hills If they were allowed, they'd do it all day. Some parents enjoy being out too As they lace up their ice skates, Holding hands 'neath the winter sun While skating out on the lake. When the day is through The moon shines brightly above, Don't forget to thank God For this beautiful season of love. Copyright Cynthia Jones Jan.21/2007 Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
