DIFFERENCESKind to my lady friends As frustration for us begins In trying to make one from two With the men as Robert, Scott and you Or even my son Noah, or there's Josh We are women friends and oh my gosh The situations there if you're a woman With a man whos bonding's not coming The way you want it to The way their silence can haunt you At times you have to let it go To love the men you know As they're a different breed Not allowing need To slip into their vocabulary Then they're scary Not expressing emotion 'Till another's devotion Might take you down Just to be around The kind of men Who begin A date with all their attention Did I mention That's the place a woman wants to go When she feels low As she wants to put only God above you While we're different, we do still love you. 2/6/07 1820 cj Vote for this poem
