I Drift Away

I drift away,
In thoughts of you,
Even in sleep,
There is no escape,
Still you haunt me,
Visions form,
Uninvited,
Yet welcome,
The Paris night,
The midnight flight,
Thoughts rewound,
Replayed,
In tinsel town,
Technicolor,
Lucid dreams,
Fill the sleeping hour,
Dawn breaks
I wake,
Your smile greets me,
And I hear clearly,
Your morning song.
