The Law of Moses

The Law of Moses was only death,
A promise for after your last breath;
For the future not giving much hope,
In allowing your faith able to cope.

Even though it was carved in stone,
As Moses brought his face had shone;
Just like the sun shining so bright,
And his hair was such a pure white.

The people of Israel could not look,
Causing fear as the ground also shook;
For they knew doing things derogatory,
From these Laws and all of their glory.

But in Christ there is hope in the Spirit,
Through everything that we do inherit;
The Law is death as the Spirit gives life,
And hope for the future away from strife.

Because it is a new agreement with God,
As through Christ if we honor and laud;
With the Spirit of the Lord we are free,
And are given the insight for us to see.
